looking to stock a 300 gallon. System can take a large bio load and water changer can be adjusted as needed.

trying to get a starting point for the stocking list so we can work on the introduction order.

thoughts on this list? Recomended alternatives? Goal is a very active well stocked tank.

Tangs: achilles, Naso, powder blue, Sailfin, and Tomini
magnificent foxface
bunch of Chromis (6)
bunch of fire fish (8) [thinking this is risky - they might kill themselves off till there are 2]
misc wrasses [mystery wrasse, some flashers, six line]
3 banhai cardinals
2 striped bass cardinals
sand sifting gobie
Mandarin (not psychodelic) after tank is established
3 sunburst anthias
6 lyretail anthias
hawkfish
lawnmower blenny
matted file fish
two clownfish
two cleaner shrimp
brittle starfish
sand sifting starfish
mix of snails, hermits, and green crabs

Even in a 300g, a naso will eventually get too big, but that will take awhile.

Groups of firefish almost always kill each other so that only one or two remain. Try a social dartdish such as zebras or scissortails instead.

Some have had issues with chromis killing each other off, but this has not been my experience.

Mystery and sixline wrasses are intolerant of each other and other wrasses, and often can be aggressive toward any fish added after them.

Bangaii cardinals will form a pr and kill off any other bangaiis in the tank.

Achilles tangs are very difficult to take care of and almost require a tank built around them, I would caution you against them unless you have done lots of research and know that your tank would be able to hold one long term. Maybe do a Blue/Regal Blue tang or a powder brown instead? Also will you be keeping corals or is this FOWLR? Also for us to better help you tell us a little about the system (flow, lights, rock work, ect)
