Feeding Mushrooms

I was wondering how many times, if any does everyone feed there shrooms per week...also what type of foods do you feed?

Its not necessary to feed mushrooms at all and some don't even appear to have a response to it but I've fed reef roids and pellets before...

My yuma will take food but regular old shrooms dont seem to have a response

I've never fed mine, just made sure they got plenty of light, good flow and aminos. I'm sure there can be exceptions to that but I've never heard of any.

That's surprising I would've thought more people actually fed them to try and increase growth.

Well soft corals like mushrooms and xenia can grow like weeds with out feeding

I feed mine some maybe once or twice a week. My rhodactis deffinetly are more aggressive eaters. The discosoma seem not to really eat much. Yumas love meaty food, same with my hairy mushroom. Give them a pellet or piece of seafood and they will love you :)

I feed 2 to 3 times a week. I feed a frozen mix and put a little coral frenzy in. I dont feed fish specifically I just let them eat when i spot feed coral. I love feeding my rhodies they go crazy and close up around the food to trap it. My discos are about 50/50. I've noticed that the bigger more "premium" discos seem to eat more.

Would you say you see increased growth rate by feeding?

It's only been a few months and a lot of them are newer but I think so. I also just enjoy watching them eat.

I have mostly a all acan and chalice tank,,, I feed them once a week,,, Fauna Marin pellets ,,, I also feed my upstart mushroom collection,,, all three of them :) they gobble down the the pellets,,, I kinda just mash the pellets in my fingers over the mushrooms and let the powder settle onto the mushroom,,, does it help them grow,,, I don't know,,, all I know is they eat it as fast as they can,,, I guess the only way to really know is to have two of the same kind,,, feed one and not the other,,, see what happens,,,

Sorry I fed the other day and was playing with my light to get better pics and ended up breaking it and getting totally distracted will try again tomorrow.
