Hey @Nsakis1 - hows things going so far with the tank since you been back ?

I'm far from any updates lol. I havent even moved yet. Just window shopping for tanks at the moment. Thinking of a Glass cages 6ft tank as a peninsula or a 48x48 cube depending on how the basement layout turns out. Dont you worry, I've been planning nonstop whether it's the fish, coral, invert, hardware, etc. I've got lists for all!

Welcome to R2R! The toucan so amazing. How long have you had it? Is it a friendly bird? What does he eat?

I've only had her for 3 months. Shes about 3-5 yrs old. Average keel billed toucan lives 20-25 years in captivity so we've got a lot of partying left! Shes very friendly. She lives in the main family room so she is used to dogs, cats, and toddlers.
Interesting question about the diet because it's very specific. Toucans are prone to Hemochromatosis which is an iron storage disease that can affect all organs, but mostly the liver. This is why they require a specific low iron pellet from Mazuri. The other 50% is fresh fruit. The fruit cocktail is 50% papaya, 25% mango, then last 25% gala apples, peaches, nectarines, bananas. Treats are blueberries. She loves them! I'll have to post a pic of the trick I taught her to catch blueberries from across the living room.

That sounds like an awesome tank. I am kinda in the same boat. Started a 75 made some good progress but the got a house. I plan on make a 300+ gallon tank in the basement as well which I’m gutting right now. Anyway
