A small powerhead for surface agitation and a lid of some type like egg crate to allow for for gas exchange and to prevent jumping is a good idea

I am on vacation till next Thursday. I have someone coming by to feed my fish but I a bet they could all be dead by the time I get home. If it the case I my just call it quits.

Tell your house sitter to remove any dead fish asap - or you will have a self-fulfilling prophecy - and sympathies.

Coral Banded shrimps are like crabs, at least in the sense that they are opportunistic. Some people have no issue, but I've never had one that didn't eventually start going after fish. I've watched them grab ahold of perfectly healthy fish. So, even in my larger tanks, they are eventually banished. I'll never put one in a community tank again and I'd NEVER trust one in a small tank.

That said: It sounds like you might have more than one issue going on.
