For those of you who have set up a “fish room” for your sump instead of having it in your stand, was it worth the effort? Would you do it again? Why or why not?

I had a fish room in my first apartment, but it was for everything not just sumps. Loved it, but it obviously takes up space! :)

my build thread is my fish room. It's still a work in progress. If you have the space to spare, and you know you'll remain dedicated to the hobby long term, you won't regret it.

Yes - totally worth it. Your back will appreciate you for not performing weird Yoga positions working underneath a cramped stand! Besides, it will motivate you to keep the sump clean since it’s out in the open.

My downstairs bathroom, I guess; you could consider it my fish room. I had all of my supplies in there: the RO system and some other random things. If I had a bigger house at the time, I would've had a dedicated room for everything
