We use the same one on our leopard gecko habitat. it is off by 4 degrees but it steady so we just ignore that it is off. we monitor using a seperate thermometer. it does bg me though.

You can calibrate its temperature, took a little to get it set. Checked it against my lab grade fluke temperature meter and the inkbird is very accurate.

I tried calibrating. That is how it got to be 4 degrees off instead of 2. Lol. I am sure it is pilot error.

Any one having success with filter mesh in stead of felt socks???
Don’t love vacuuming anything
I use the 225 Red Sea nylon mesh filter socks and love them.
Their really easy to rinse out and put right back in.
I get about six months from one of those, but they do let the smallest of particles pass by.

Don,
Looking good :), but I've lost track :(

Did you come to a final conclusion with the yeast?

I got sidetracked from it. It seemed to help. Didn't get rid of them completely, but I did vacuumed the remaining out over the course of a week. Haven't been back since. So, yes it helped.

"The calaustrea is huge, is it regulation size??"

It's about the size of a large cantaloupe! Lol

"Don,
Your Monti has a beautiful shape to it."

Thank you, it's very unique in it's shape.

Okay, it's been awhile since I updated here. I've been busy trying out making my first real video. It was a challenge to do, being the learning curve on my simple software. I'll post it here soon as it uploads on my unofficial YouTube channel. Stay tuned.:)
