Hey all, wanting to see opinions if my floor will be okay for a 180g. I currently have a 75g and looking to upgrade. Here's the situation under where the tank would go. Sorry if the picture isn't the greatest. I took it through an air vent because I didn't want to go in there lol. So my house was built in 1996 and is on a crawlspace. The tank would be sitting perpendicular to the floor joists and there are support beams and concrete blocks going perpendicular to the joists about every 6 feet. The tank would be against an external wall right above where this picture was taken but would not be sitting on the added supports beams since they start about 6 feet out from the wall. Please let me know if I should consult an engineer or not. Thanks!

What size floor joist? How far apart are joist? What is the footprint of the 180G tank?

Looks plenty sturdy. You don’t need a structural engineer, however, after 30 years, I would get a building contractor to do a structural inspection.
