Euphyllia like a bit of a dirty tank. I keep my phos around. 1-.15. Bleaching is usually due to too much light.

I think they can definitely recover. I'd start adding amino acids like Red Sea AB+. I notice better coloration under blue lighting as well. They don't need the white light like SPS. Medium flow is also best IME.

Trying to sort my lights out. I am just using the default settings as don’t know what programmes to use and nobody else has the same lights lol

Yeah BRS does great videos on the major brands. They give recommendations on different configurations. Lights make a huge difference. I wouldn't recommend getting the latest and greatest, but get LEDs for sure if you're changing them.

Here's one. I have Hydra 64s on my mixed reef and started with there settings before I did my own.

So many things that could cause Euphyllia to not expand. Water quality, too much/not enough light, physical irritation, too much flow... You need to look at each of these.

Two things that I see from the pics... 1, make sure it's not in contact with the rock next to it. Looks close to me but that could just be the angle of the photos. 2, I see you have a clown. Many times they will try to host Euphyllia which could irritate the coral at first. Or other things like crabs could irritate it. Usually these aren't doing any damage, it's just annoying and the coral eventually gets used to it if it's otherwise healthy.

Having your water parameters in check and good lighting along with decent flow are the other immediate items I would focus on.

And it could just be this particular coral. I've had some torches that just didn't do well, must not have been very healthy to begin with, while others grew like gangbusters. Getting another torch frag from a completely different source, one that looks healthy to begin with, could be a good test.

I’ve just read that devils hands can prohibit the growth of other corals could that be the issue with the frogspawn?. I’ve got this large leather in my tank.

It doesn’t seem to be very happy. Also just noticed this, I thought it was coralline algae but noticed some bubbles in it today. Is it yet another problem?.

Looks like cyno. Plenty of threads on how to eradicate it. Good luck.
