So I just witnessed my YWG spit a rock onto my orange fungia plate...which then proceeded to eat said rock.
Has anyone else’a fungia eaten anything bizarre like that? I thought it was pretty funny I hope it isn’t detrimental to its health!

It will probably throw it back up if it doesn't do any damage. I have seen my acans eat a torch tentacle... that was still attached to the torch. It eventually got so taught that the tentacle broke. I have also seen corals eat massive pieces of food, only to later throw them back up. Never seen a rock though. My fungia is pretty adept at pooffing itself up to disburse sand.

Yeah- my 3” fungia plate ate a newly added 2” diameter tiger nassarius Snail. Just crawled right in there. I noticed a couple hours after I added the snail and had to pull the shell out with forceps.

3 months of QT for a $12 snail and it lasted 30 minutes in the tank, lol.
