Anyone have any experience with either? I have a galaxy on my phoenix but it doesnt run as blue as i seen the bulb run. I was wondering if bluewaves would run them more blue?

The blue is a bad thing honestly... Firing the bulb the way should be it will be a crisp white.... The blue is telling ya the bulb is under powered and will lead to a shorter life span.... Hqi ballast are the best not a electronic...

Oh gotcha... so i guess the galaxy is running pretty well. Although they are electronic but they run HQI?

I have a friend that has an aquamedic ballast and theirs is like perfect balance of blue and crisp white and its crazy bright.... i was hoping mine would run like that...

I'm not positive on phoenix but radiums "European bulbs" run at higher standards than the American made ballast.... If you were to follow ANSI guidelines the proper ballast is a m80 hqi ballast.... The problem is America don't make them no more they replaced them with a m138 pulse start ballast... It is magnetic and does fire the bulbs but not to there full potential they require like 280watts or something like that if iirc.... The m138 puts out 250 that's why you get a blue color which is still nice but it shortens the life of the bulb.... I think it's vertex or something like that, that has a hqi setting it over drives the bulbs a tad bit and is prolly the best you can buy any more since they discontinued the m80.... Hth
Btw I have a dual pfo m80 ballast the best there is for sale if your interested shoot me a pm..... It fires radiums to there full potential the pure white not even a hint of blue....;)
