This made me chuckle out loud...:)

My wife asked the same thing. I just hope that girl is talking about the state and not the proviance. That whole situation is really sad and only goes to show how many suffer just to have freedom.

lol. To be quite honest, I dont even really know why Russia semi-invaded Georegia. Last I heard Russia was occupying part of it and then said they were punished enough and backed out (I think).

It really is a sad situation. I have met several troops from the nation of Georgia, and I live in Georgia the state. We have troops there now, have had troops for a while and support that country in many ways. My nephew who just got back from Iraq was almost sent there as his next deployment.
I live so close to Ft. Benning I do feel as I am in a war zone sometimes. I can hear the live fire exercises, sometimes it shakes my house the explosions are so big. I expect this to increase with Ft. Knox's armor and tanks being relocated to FT. Benning.
The question Jessica asks Yahoo above is really what alot of people outside the U.S. would expect us to ask. When I met a soldier from Republic of Georgia and I asked him where he was from, he was shocked to know I knew where that was. I guess my History degree and ability to retain otherwise useless information helps. An example of this is I know from somewhere I learned that Georgia is the origin of the mythical golden fleece. Who wants to play Jeopardy?
Nation of Georgia was almost admitted into NATO, could you imagine where we would be if that were the case. Also keep in mind that Georgia has an oil pipeline running thru it, dont know if it is a million or millions of barrels a day or not, but cut that off and see what happens to a gallon of gas here.

I think in the end that is potently one of the reasons why they went in among other things that are shown themselves to be a new version of the old Soviet Union....Not only should Georgia have been admitted into NATO now we should rush approval of the Ukraine.

It was posted in RC and my answer over there is "is this person Blonde" because this person thinks the Russians are invading the State of Georgia

"I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and I believe that our education like such as South Africa, and the Iraq, everywhere like, such as, and I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for our children." -- Lauren Caitlin Upton
:)
I am such a geography wierdo I dont know how I know things, I just know. As far as invasions go, I personally have, as a representative of my state of Georgia, fired a 24 pound cannon across the river in to the state of Alabama. It was a blank, but let that be a warning!

You know only the education system here in america could only prompt a statement like that??? I have a grandaughter who even knows the difference between georgia usa and gerogia ussr...( and she is blond?) as a matter a fact she commented on it and her question was... she don't understand why all people can't get along and she is just 9. by the way she is just nine but tested on a high school level? 11.3 to be exact... my question after seeing this post is... does that really mean anything????? I really hope it does. my grandaughter questions everything. I think she is a leader rather than a follower. I think that is a good thing..... She is like most children very honest. but when she can't understand the ways of our leaders she asks....

Kathy I'm sorry if i have offended you with my answer the blonde was starte in another site and there was a topic about blonde, and this same topic was posted there by the same person

i dis agree maybe theres a reason the US economy sucks, maybe if we stoped spending BILLIONS of dollars in wars that have nothing to do with us, we would be better off. and we are no longer the super power IMO china is right up there with us, why cant they do something why is it ALWAYS our problem! i lost 3 VERY good friends to this war that has nothing to do with us im 100000000% against this

well now that were are over there fighting... we are there to WIN. its a goddamned war, and IMO we are fighting with our hands tied behind our backs. perhaps less US soldiers would die, if we just FOUGHT THE GODDAMNED WAR. anyway.... carry on, this is way off topic?

i got an idea.....how about we say F-IT and pull ALL our troops out and save lifes of our soilders so no more 18an up year olds die WAY to young!

Ehhh... I didn't mean to start a political debate guys. I just thought it was funny that a woman was looking for Russian tanks in the state of Georgia. Sorry if I offended anyone with it...?
