Goni only extends at night

New Goni frag only extends at night I’ve moved him to the shadiest spot I can find and my lights are on acclimation mode to try and get him accustom to my tank. Any thoughts on how u can help this guy or just let it ride and hope he gets used to it. Also how do yall normally acclimate your corals

The same as your doing...shady spot, lights on acc. mode. You can either lower the intensity some more or ride it out.

dont over do it but they do respond positively to an occasional indirect feeding.

i add a small cube of coral gumbo to my fish feedings with just my return on, to accomplish this. Mine is a pink one a little hardier than some others though.
