Good morning! What a weird Halloween. We live in a big neighborhood with one way in, one way out. We usually get hundreds of trick-or-treaters...they tell us to expect around 300 kids. I used to go to Costo and buy 8 of those gigantic candy bags...Halloween cost us a fortune, but it was always fun. Last night, we had 2. TWO. A good it of our neighborhood had opted out anyway (including us), so thankfully I hadn't spent a small fortune on candy.

The rest of the time, I was participating in another live sale....must...stay...away....from....live....sales. FAT CHANCE! ;Happy

Kids to help themselves. We stayed in our own neighborhood for the first time last night. The decorations weren’t as amazing as what we normally see when we go to other neighborhoods (one family has mini ponies and bring them to their house here in the city and dresses them up as unicorns and makes everything look like a fairy village.), but my son didn’t care and he still had a blast.

What live sale? So far I’ve only done wwc and just try not to look for advertisements for others. It’s so hard not to buy things at those sales. It’sdefinitely a Vice for me. ;Hilarious

That's so cute about the ponies/unicorns! It was definitely a "quiet" Halloween here compared to usual.

This live sale was Top Shelf Aquatics. It wasn't an advertised R2R live sale, but they did have some posts on their sponsor forum. I'm on their email list, so I found out about it that way. They're about my top vendor, so I can't resist their sales!

today I empty the concrete birdbath and plug in the electric heated one. The fish will be oblivious to it but the crabs may notice. Their eyes are on everything, everywhere.

Good Morning! It is a blustery 17 this morning. Huge snow storm heading my way. Might get a foot. Or might get a single flake. Temps will go back to normal, only one or two degrees above freezing and single digits in the morning. Then winter will happen.
My smoker is frozen solid to the ground. I have to thaw it out and get it up on my deck. Last time this happened I almost just bought a new one. Is that wasteful? It might beat trying to chip through 6 inches of ice so I can dig out 2 inches of frozen ground all the way around it.

so, early Monday is trash pick up, oops! my bad. good news: i can barely justify the weekly curb march because i generate so little garbage and the weather will keep the garbage preserved and fly-free for the next week. Yay, November!
