Okay so I’m looking to add a nice rainbow acan and a Duncan coral next week sometime and I’m curious as to my placement plan.

I was thinking of putting the acan frag right at the edge of the light/shade put under the rock and the Duncan coral between the two purple epoxy spots. Would this be too close over time? Could I put the acan further back in the shade more?

Red spot is acan and blue duncan

Acan will be 3-5 head frag and Duncan will be a 1-3 head frag.

that should be fine for awhile. later though I would think if Duncan touches the acan it would kill it. that might also be to much shade for the acan. all of mine that where ever in shade where not happy, I moved out into light and they plumped up. Still at the bottom of tank but just out in some light.

Thanks!

I thought some acan would do fine in shade but maybe not. Also was hoping the Duncan would grow a skeleton upward to move itself away from the acan as well.

It’s hard planning corals in a small 20G haha
