Well, i finally saw a gorgonian that i had to have.

Bright yellow with red polyps. Not a great pic, but only the actinics. So the colors dont come out real well.

Im guessing nonphotosynthetic. I have one like that. It did very well at first then kinda started to die and now is coming back again. I hope. But i will for sure not try gorgonians again no matter how pretty they are. Most dont usually last that long or very hard to keep in my opinion. Awesome find and let us know how it does.

I love the beautiful details and colors on the gorgonians, but I'm worried I would kill them off. Hopefully they do well for you and keep us posted with updates of its progress!

The non-photosynthetic seem to be a pain in the ... to keep. I have a deep sea purple gorgonian that keeps getting algae growth. I remove it, it comes back. And I have no other algae problems in the tank. Now my photosynthetic are doing great!!

Good luck with that one Junior, it looks pretty cool!!

With some talk about them being bacterial feeders, i may try and dose my prodibio reef digest right on top of it. It wouldnt be a constant feeding process, as i cant dose it everyday, but i probably cant hurt.

Ill try to feed it frozen cyclopeeze and tiny brine.

Ill get a pic of those whole thing in a few.

Nice, keeping my fingers crossed for you. Love gorgonians and sea fans, but limit myself to the photosynthetic, just can do the other.
