Gray Algae ? ? ?

I have gray algae growing on some of my rock, power heads. I scrub them off, and they return a week later. They look like gray ferns. I'm not over feeding, once every other day. Stuff grows in light on top of rocks, as well as on shady areas. It grows at the intake slots of power heads. Tangs, wrasses, nothing eats this stuff. I have tons of coraline algae. I'm just 1 year old, today, and loving it.

Do I worry? It doesn't look that good. What is it? What to do to get rid of it?

Neither, it doesn't feel like anything. When you touch it, it feels very soft, if you brush it, it brushes off easy, then grows back quickly.

I've seen this before at a LPS, and they were scrubbing it off with a large brush. I'm using a toothbrush.
I don't have much green algae, but coraline algae grows very quickly.

I had that stuff, started doing No3Po4-x and it went away. I also brought in 3 Mexican turbos The reason for using the No3-Po4-x is to control. You are going to have to dose every day to control the gray stuff. Are you testing for phosphates and nitrates.

Yep no3's > than 10

My parent's had the same issue with their FOWLR, I still think it was a nutrient issue, but they threw a poly filter in and it never came back.
