Greetings, from AK

To Quote LL Cool J "don't call it a come back, I've been here for years", just not on Reef2Reef :).

On a more serious note, I have been into photography and reefing for decades, but not so much on Reef2Reef until that last few years when I plunged back deep into Reef Tanks. I'm sure some of you used to be on Reef Central "back in the day". I was quite active there in the photography forum. Then I got married, had kids, started a business, blah, blah, blah. In any event I was perusing the forums and saw a Photo Contest and that lead me to this subforum. I have been taking some images lately and of course have lots of old ones and I figured I'd drop in" and say hello. So, "hello from AK".

A few images some new, some old.

Canon. I have had all sorts of bodies back to the old Elan's, the 5D and 7D, and now the newer mirrorless with the R5 and R7. Almost all of the reef stuff is taken with the Canon 100mm macro lens but I do throw some extension tubes on from time to time to allow me to get closer.

Yeah, they're usually very chill, but if they are agitated or feel threatened you do not want to mess with them!

Fun times back in the day on Reef Central! I actually had quite a bit more time for photography back then, prior to marriage and kids. Imagine that :).

My favorite time of the year, fall. Colors are popping, antlers are full sized, and the velvet is coming off for battle...

A little B&W fun after watching the clouds shadows shape shift across the landscape. Notice the snow cornices on the peaks. This area gets very high winds from the back side.
