hanging hardward for canopy need help..

okay well we are building our hood for the light fixtures and we are making it out of wood to match the cabinet. we are going to hang it from the celing though instead of sitting on top of the tank.
i am wanting to hang it so that i could raise and lower it higher or lower over the tank... so i can get in better to clean and what not. does anyone know what types of hardware i would need to be able to do this?
any help would be appreciated...

I would receommed ratchet pullys from Home Depot. They would hold the weight of your wood canopy and light, also cheap.
