Welcome aboard, your doing things the right way and taking it slow. Don't stress buying all the bells and whistles, just manage the basics and don't chase the parameters. Nature has a way of balancing itself. Just add little doses here and there to keep your numbers up. With corals. Start with basics like ricordia, maybe a Duncan and some zoas. Keep adding slowly over time until your ready with bigger things. Patients and balance.

TriniSalty welcome to the reef. I discovered this forum as it seemed to always come up when I googled a question. Finally joined, then chose to become a supporting member and later a partner member to keep the forum available for others to come. My wife @Ocean_Queenie and I started culturing copepods and phytoplankton eventually selling some on here as a hobbyist. Hi.
Have had many successful freshwater tanks in the past 20 yrs or so. Finally decided to do a reef tank. Since my kids are older and I have a bit more time now.
I’ve been doing a lot of research and watching a lot of videos. But I seem to get a lot of different advice from the various stores I go to. I’ll update you all on what Imy current setup looks like later but in short I’m only 2.5 months in. Cycled fishless. Have had a couple of clowns in the tank for 3 weeks now. Measuring good params for fish but I’m really interested in adding corals eventually.
