Instant Ocean and Reef Crystals are both general salts - good for a tank. More like expensive salt brands have better solubility so they mix easier, or have better proportions of magnesium, alkalinity, and calcium plus better ratios of trace minerals.I'm down to about 1/4 of the Instant Ocean. I picked up 2 boxes of the Nyos to use next but I don't like how it both has different labels of parameters. Which salts do you think are "better" formulated for corals?
I've used the IO purple and orange buckets forever. I used CoraLife 1 time and my corals weren't happy.
Red Sea blue bucket is supposed to be pretty good. A lot of people use it. More numbers in th "ideal" range for trace elements and calcium/magnesium/alkalinity.
