Hey guys i have a question cant seem to deal with this problem somehow my lps such as acan, hammer, and duncan are doing well no issues at all however my zoas, gsp, xenia have all melted away ( i only have one zoa left) i have no clue whats the reason my parameters are on point not sure why they are dying any ideas guys thank you in advance.

parameters
alk: 10
cal: 420
mag: 1350
ph: 8.0
nitrate: 10
phos: .05

Can you provide pictures?
Your parameters seem fine.
Those are some real hardy corals to die before the other's.
i do its not the best picture here is one of the remaining zoa i had 8 polyps now only 2 are open

I can’t emphasize how hesitant I am to suggest this, but after considering everything else perhaps try testing for and dosing Iodine…

Again with emphasis this has no real hard evidence that it will actually help, but perhaps file it under “it cant hurt” category of solutions…

Also try Seachems “Reef Plus” …its another $10 low confidence/ low risk solution with a shot

I have a lps dominant with softies and a couple sps and for the life of me I can’t keep mushrooms. I’m still scratching my head.

It’s the only reason I can think is that your light may be too strong if no lps were close to them
nope actually the softies melted first before i introduce the lps and my kessil is actually in the lowest setting.

i actually have reef plus i bought it months ago just haven't used it how much should i dose for a 10 gallon and how often should i do it? I also been feeding the lps some reefroids but the remaining zoas are still not happy.

my first zoas looked just like that, never figured out why, my LPS and GSP were all growing just fine. got myself another zoa frag a couple months later and it has thrived. maybe just some sick zoas… did you dip them?

oh, and to this day I can’t get xenia to live in my tank for the life of me, always just shriveled away over the course of a couple months. I eventually just gave up, probably saved me a lot of trimming anyways…

i did dip them they looked healthy at the lfs but once they got to my tank they just slowly died i might try and use reef plus if it doesn't work then ill probably just stay with lps tank.

From the picture your tank appears to still be cycling or re-cycling. Corals need a real stable aquarium to thrive in. What do you feed them?

I agree that Xenia need iodine. I doubt that synthetic salt mixes have enough iodine.

Have you been moving those corals around a lot? Maybe they don't like the placement, and do they have the right light and flow, that's all I can think of because your parameters are good, and your other corals are doing good, also try target feeding them once a week with a high quality coral food.

I tried to move them before they melted it didn't work though. and i feed the corals that i have right now reefroids

Yeah, it’s almost certainly not related to the light. Kessil A80 is 15W. Even at 100% and 5” above the water I’d bet your par is only in the low 100s on the sand bed.

Have you tried a water change to see if anything changes? That’s always a good first intervening action.
