Just got done building my custom small tank. It's about 30 gallons. (48" long 12"x12")

My plan is for zoas, and mushrooms. Also home to some gobies. Don't know what I should

go with. I have 2 150w. halides I could use. But seems like overkill on a tank so shallow. Any help

would be great. Thanks for your time as well.

It’s overkill but if you put a pair of 20k bulbs in and hung it 12” or so over the water it would work and not cost you extra light money. If it were my tank I would buy a pair of orphek led strips personally

I was actually going to write the same thing lol.
The Orphek strips are pretty sharp and can be customized when you order. Maybe 1 blue strip and one daylight strip would keep zoas and mushrooms happy.

Couple black boxes would do the trick as well and cost effective
