Hermit crab shells... I'm fed up

I have 4 blue leg hermit crabs that are in need of new shells. I have spent about $30 on shells from different websites. They will not take over any of the shells. My tank started to look like the sand bed was made of just seashells. Does anyone have a site that carries shells that you have had success with? I would like to take the crabs out and let them free but my gf will literally kill me.

They are sticking almost their entire body out and pushing it up in the air. They go after my turbo snails but I tried those shells empty and they didn't take them.

As long as the shells are the appropriate size for them they will take them as needed. Not much more you can do.

Any place you recommend to buy them? 90% of the shells I get in these bags I buy are not shells you see hermit crabs in...

Give one of the clean up crew type vendors/sponsors here on R2R, I'm sure they could help you out.

I used shells from the craft store Michaels $12 for 30 shells different sizes

This is a good idea. I'm sure they can help you out. My lfs sold empty shells. That is where I got them.
