hey there am new around ,
am looking for a good deal to get an aquarium chiller either a 1/4 hp or 1/2 hp
As i live Mauritius shipping costs me a lot , found some deal but shipping make it usually twice its actual price. So i hope to find 1 that might fit in the budget of 400- 415 usd shipping included.
Also as i was talking to my college biologic teachers , they got interested in the hobby and they wanna have 1 in the school premise. And so a good day to of you reefers!

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Ship us out some Gem Tangs for cheap! :D

Welcome to R2R, the shipping is the price of a unit. The only way I could think that would be less is to have someone how you know, that is coming to visit bring it with them. You buy they fly:)

Welcome aboard, Sahye Akillesh!

Wish I had a line on a chiller for you, or even a way to get it to Mauritius - but glad to see you here, and to be able to share the hobby with folks from the farthest-flung corners of the world. I hope your school tank is wildly successful!

hey there again peeps,
the school budget is pretty low so i request help in any mean including advice to buy cost efficient equipment considering we can get regular water changes from the sea.Problem is to find an appropriate light which will meet the school budget.thanks for any help provided :)

Hey, Sahye!

I've been using the 300 watt version of the "Chinese Black Box" lights by Mars Aqua - here on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/165W-MarsAq...Spectrum-Coral-Reef-Tank-Marine-/370857093101

And on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/MarsAqua-Dimmable-Aquarium-Freshwater-Saltwater/dp/B017GWDF7E

They make a 165 watt (in the links) and a 300 watt, which is about 30" long. Blue channel and white/full-spectrum channel can be run separately, dimmed (manually) separately. They're not fancy, but they will light your tank and grow your corals.
