Hey Shane. I have seen in some of your videos that you run quite high flow! Do you believe this high flow to be essential?

What do you use for powerheads and what program do you follow?

for Flow we use the ecotec mp40s we have 3 of them in a 180 gallon tank and set all the schedules and flows different every hour.. so each pumps runs a different schedule and flow rate every hour.. that way its always random and changes never constant flow. I am not sure if this creates the best PE but I know nothing gets stagnant with it always changing..

Hey Shane on your hanna nitrate tester. Are you using a real 10 ml or going off their 10 ml. I use a Pipette and weight the water in and the ml aren't correct on the test vials lately.

Just a thought to see if it makes any difference. My nyos and hanna high range are pretty spot on together.

Using the Hanna nitrate HR. It’s dead on with the NYOS Nitrate kits I’ve been using. I’m pretty shocked how it lines up so closely.

My Hanna checker is in line with my salifert test kit. Salifert showed between 10-25 Hanna shows 13.8. Very happy with the new checker.

Yes my po4 0.20. I really like the nitrate checker so far. It measured a little lower than I was expecting based on the salifert test I’ve used for years
