Just want to see what ever one does! I do an hour, about every 10-15 mins i put a hydrometer full of my tank water into the bag. Seems to do fine for me, never lost a fish before!

I voted other. I generally float the bag for about 20-30 minutes then I may add some of my water. If I know they came from a copper free system then I will just drop them in. If not I remove them after adding a few oz's of water every 5-10 minutes for half an hour or so then take the fish out and add to the main.

fish get drip acclimated...just too sensitive IMO...especially since a lot of LFS and online vendors keep their fish holding systems at well below NSW...fish can't handle the additional salt and need that time.

I float them for 45mins to get the temps the same as all the nicer fish stores around here are about an hour drive, after floating I begin to pour approximately 3-4oz of tank water in every 15-20mins, I continue doing this for another 3 hours then put the fish in, with seahorses I pour in about 2oz of tank water every 20-25mins for 4 hours. Always been successful with following this.

Depends....

If they came from the LFS.... temp acclimate and then drip
Ordered/Shipped... Temp acclimated, light acclimated and then netted out.

I have somewhat high lighting in my tank and sometimes the fish are kept in the dark.....sudden exposure to the light could add to the stress.
