Allow me to give more explanation. I want to use fewer plugs on me surge protectors. I have three Kessil 360 lights (and a number of other DC powered devices, as we all do). I want one power supply to rule all three lights.

peak light demands are 19v and 90w.

To link them all I want an inverter that offers 19v and at least 270w? Is that how it works? what if the rating is in amps, what's the number then? Do I need to leave a power buffer (eg. 310w)?
Yes, that is how it works. Watts = Amps x Voltage

Most laptop power supplies are 19-volts, cheap replacement for some power supplies.

Probably happens !
