Was looking into adding some supplemental lighting to my AP9X. I had a bit of shadowing and I wanted to run the kessil on the whiter side. I looked around for some options where I can keep the sleek, single mount bar aesthetics. I couldn't really couldn't find a way to mount any bars to the AP9X mount.

I was browsing on instagram and found someone, JC Reef on Instagram, who mounted his AP9X to the Reef Brite XHO K30 add ons for Radions/Hydras. I messaged him for some info and he was very helpful on giving me some details.

The rear portion of the Reef Brites sits on the raised mounting area of the AP9X arm.

The parts used were purchased at a True Value hardware store.

You will need a pair of these flanges to level out the fixture.

Then you'll need a pair of 4mm x 25mm screws to mount the reef brites to the AP9X.

Now the fun part.

The AP9X can control your Reef Brites via one of the 0-10v ports. It is very easy to do.

You will need-

0-10v Analog to PWM controller

a 3.5mm female jack to bare wire

a 3.5mm stereo cable

DC female 5.5mm x 2.1mm Power Jack Adapters

And here's how you wire it up-

then just add and setup the 0-10v channel on the Kessil app.

I am pleased with how it looks aesthetically and the color output. The reef brites blends in beautifully with the kessil.

I just mounted 2 (front and back) orphek 36" lights on my ap9x. Couldn't find a mount so I made one out off aluminum. Hanging from ceiling as I wasn't sure if the tank could take the weight.
Looks OK, works dang fine.
