I just took a knife to then. Cut them right off the rocks. I wonder if that'll be enough?

Well the issue with that is if any part of the base is left it will grow back.
Keep a close eye out for these guys and let me know if you need any help :-)

No. They are like roaches. For every one you see, they're 10 you don't. In your plumbing, skimmer, sump all of that stuff. Just get the powder from Twillard and you'll be done with them.

Here is the thing about Digitate hydroids.
They like to find the deep holes in rocks. Its natural protection for them.
I would never recommend a laser of any type for the fact of reflected beams. Can cause blindness
I always take the safest approach of eradication

I call those tubular hydroids. I would have to go look up the specific name.
Those guys aren't as potent as Digitates but can grow in mass numbers.
I break at the base during siphoning to pull them out.

He said nothing eats digitate hydrpid and nothing does.

Sorry I was talking about Digitate hydroids. Nothing eats them.
Tubular hydroids are a different species. Sorry for the confusion.

That is the hard part. Finding them but once the food line is gone they will perish.
If you want I can research the cure for these
It takes about 4 weeks. Most all my studies are donations of pests (I pay costs) and return with the safest way to rid of pests.
I have not had a lot of time with tubular hydroids due to the lack of availability.
I do believe fenbendazol might rid of them. I would have to study their ingestion system.
