I want to get an RODi water system but I had a few questions.
1. If I was to join this up to my faucet wouldn’t that cost a ton?
2.Do you run it at full blast or dripping?
3. How much does it cost per hour in water?

you can hook it up to the supply of the facet or its output depending what you buy to connect the system to your home water supply. it will use the same amount of water either way.

the input is full on but the final product is dripping, the excess is a drizzle.

unless you're in a drought-prone area where they may charge insane amounts, the cost would be so miniscule i doubt at most it'd cap at a few pennies an hour, if that. Remember the input line from your supply is only 1/4" so theres not much going to it.

Full blast for the right pressure, costs less then a 10 minutes in the shower, generally faucet attachments come with it.

Ok thanks. I have another question how much water would it take total to make $5 of RODI water?
There is no way to give you a good answer. Everybody has different setups, hooked up to different pressures.
Maybe @Buckeye Hydro can answer questions with a guide to different products.

Impossible to answer without knowing all your cost variables. I believe most units are tuned to 3 to 1 so for every 1 gallon of RO water you make, you waste 3 gallons of water. You can buy different tuned units or if you know what you are doing you can do it yourself. Where I live we are charged in 1000 gallon increments at around $4 or $5 per so it is really cheap.

Lol, wierd.. very unusual question, in UK you can turn over 30 litres in approximately 4 hrs, £45 per month divided by 30 days equivalent to £1.50 a day, pound to dollars ((4 hrs))

I guestimates approximately 340 litres for $5
Depends on rate at the time :)

This. I think unless you have a massive tank (100s of gallons) the cost is really negligible. Certainly much much cheaper than buying RODI water vs. making it yourself.

Good luck making trips to LFS every week or buying Distilled gallons of water

RODI is by far cheapest efficient method no other way around it.

Yes, it's a very weak currency against UK sterling, hence why USA is borrowing money from us.
Facts!! Heck we owe the most to our biggest enemies. U.s taxpayers are like alzheimers patients in a brothel house, keep getting screwed and tired paying for it..

Feel free to give us a call - my guess is one question will lead to another!

@PizzaIan339 lots of specific questions which as pointed out would depend on your utility rates.

I'm in California and I just bought my own RODI unit (used to run to the LFS). I'm filling up outside and running the waste water into a bucket and just dumping that on my lemon tree and other fruit trees.
