I’m confused as to what this white patch is? It formed on this head of Torch recently and it seems that polyps retracted or died off. There is another head that is dead but no white patches.

Sorry this is a bad pic, but this patch has tiny ridges or holes. Could it be a sponge?

Holes and ridges could be sign of a sponge but I’ve never heard of it taking over an entire torch head without you seeing it before this stage. There are some really good torch experts here and white light photos would help them diagnose for you!

This is new, definitely need white pics. What did it look like before?
