Hey the reef 2reef. I'm not a fish guy. I like them, they just aren't the why for me in the reef.

I have a 5 ft long 150 gallon needing more reef safe fish. Nitrates and phosphates are too low

Current fish
Tomini
Starry blenny
Clown
3 of those nice blue damsels
3 cardinals
Green wrasse

I need more
A basslet
Maybe a one spot rabbit
What other wrasses, I like wrasses
Rainford or hectors goby. Can they be together?

What else? I just don't know many reef fish.

If you watch my most recent video you can see I like fish too much. I have over 30 in a 6 ft, 230 gallon.
Fairy wrasses are nice. I also like yellow coris and Christmas wrasse.
I like chalk bass but they do tend to get a bubble eye disease in my tank for some reason.
Anthias are great.
Another small tang maybe, or a foxface especially if you have any bubble algae.

Rad setup. What's your favorite fish in that tank?

that is tough to say. The cherub angel is super active. I have rooted for the desjardini tang since he was initially beat up by the blue tang and now by the yellow tang. He's tough so far and has weathered the storms. The splendid and Solon fairy wrasses are beautiful. The male anthia is amazing with oval shapes on his fins. Fun to watch him change over time from female to male after the previous male died. I placed a mandarin in the tank recently. He is so tiny we call him Tiny Tim. So far he's alive and fun to watch. I hope to see him grow up to a full size mandarin. That being said, if I had to choose it would be the orange shoulder tang. He has always had no fear. He would eat from my hand as a little guy and still does. He is non aggressive yet takes no crap from anyone. He is the biggest fish in my tank. If he continues to grow I may have to upgrade to a larger tank literally just for him.

Do you have a photo of your “green wrasse”?
The reason I ask this is because a species which undergoes that name can be (not always! - I have/had a fairly peaceful one) quite boisterous towards other wrasses :)

And a juvenile melanarus wrasse have been added

big fan of cirrhilabrus and paracheilinus speciesfor the wrasses! tons of colours and species to choose from and they’re reef safe :)

I would probably add a leopard wrasse, royal gramma and some sort of dwarf angel, maybe a flame.

Green coris
Yeah, they can be quite boisterous towards other wrasses. I’d recommend you look into rehoming her - they can cause issues later down the road. Mine unfortunately got rehomed out of a mistake (I still have her, she is just in an 8 foot coral tray rather than my 5 foot wrasse tank). But in her 8 foot system, she can be quite a terror now.
