Hello all!
After many years, seems my time has come...

My lil buddy is sick, and by extension, I'm assuming all my fish are sick.

Can anyone give me an idea if this is ich or velvet?
I'm having troubles, but I think its velvet...

I recently moved him (Last Friday) from one of my 50 gallons to this tank, and neither tank has any other fish with this on them... yet.
He has been in that tank since December of 25

Any help would be appreciated!
I see posts on how to cure either, but before i go hunt down meds I cannot pronounce, I'd like to get second opinions.
I'll get some white pics when I get home from work (These are from the misses)
Thank you!!!

While I may see ich…. Please help confirm by posting pictures using bright white light intensity,,,, no blue
If ich, fish and any others in with it will have to be quarantined in a separate tank and treated with coppersafe at 2.25ppm monitored with a Hanna brand copper test kit

Sorry, new to this kind of post.

Feeding - Normal, no differences

Scratching - Intermediate, here and there

Flashing - Similar to itching? maybe less

Timeline - Noticed something was off on my pre-go-to-work tank view this morning, got like this within 9 hours. Or, I didn't notice it this morning, which if that's the case then definitely within 24 hours.

Breathing rate - Normal, nothing seems different.

Yes, this is marine ich, Cryptocaryon. All of the exposed fish will need to be treated, and none of the really effective treatments can be used if invertebrates are present. You two options would be; hyposalinity or amine-chelated copper products like coppersafe or copper power. Both treatments take about 30 days and the fish need to remain out of your display for 60 days to avoid reinfection.

Yup that would be Mr ich in that fish there. Copper is the best route. Sadly your tank needs to run fallow as stated above. QT with copper at 2.25 min. I got a scopas not long ago. Put him in direct 2.35 copper power no issues. And he’s all healthy.

As suspected, this is ich. You will need to place fish in Quarantine tank and treat with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25 for a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored with a Hanna Brand copper test kit- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone. All other fish in with it should also be removed as they have also been exposed to the parasites and placed in quarantine tank.
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off.
