i took in this coral from a friend. said it had gotten covered in hair algae in his tank. He was tearing down and offered it to me with some other stuff. it seems to be doing better and i feel 'less than' when i don't know the names of what i have in my tanks. Help?

Kind of looks like an acan echinata or some sort of favia to me. Probably easier to ID after it grows back some more. How long has it been recovering?
