I figure I am replacing at least 6 gallons/week. I also get the tooth brush out and scrub the back walls and corners. The beautiful thing about this tank is the low profile that allows you to just reach in. I have made a commitment, I am going to keep the back black and clean!!!!!!!

What ATO are you using? (sorry if I have asked this before).

Looked back and saw no Nuvo discussion thread and many Nuvo builds of all sizes. Please feel free to point me in the right direction if I missed it.

First thought, this tank has beautiful glass and lines, it's a sleek tank.

Skimmer will hopefully be my current Tunze 9001 Doc, I think I can make it work in the back.
Lighting 4 bulb ATI T5, had this fixture for years and never found a use for it, good bye shimmer. :(
SmartATO.
Deeper sand bed, have not done that in a while.
MP10 and Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6045.

How deep is your sand bed?

Who has changed out the back pump for the 20 gallon and what pump did you choose?

What heater did you go with, watts?

What skimmer are you using? I have used IM Ghost skimmer and hated it.

The lid is pretty cool, are you using yours?

;Stig

Don't you hate when people post images of empty tanks? :p

Just started up a nuvo fusion 20 for a stand alone fishless(for now) grow out tank for my frags. I bought the tank as a turnkey system with ghost skimmer, spinstreams with upgraded pumps, micro ATO with container and IM reactor. I have a jebao pp4 on order but Amazon is taking it's sweet time delivering it(went for the cheaper non-prime offer). The lights weren't part of the deal so I bought 2 HD primes I will eventually be using an apex EB832 to power everything and connect it to the apex running my display tank, but this little tank is already costing more than anticipated so it's on the back burner for now.

Tested Ca/alk for the first time since set up in Oct.
Ca: 380
Alk: 7.4

Continue with 1-2 gallon water changes every other day with IO. Sps are growing like weeds. Nutrients have to be pretty low based on bio-load and feeding so that alk value seems good to go. I am going to add a Nano HOB Ca reactor once utilization picks up. The ATI 4 bulb fixture appears more than adequate but I am going to add a ReefBright LED strip for some shimmer and to add some blue. Not going to add a skimmer or change salts for now.

The scape for this tank was designed so I could just lift the whole scape out to add corals, clean back. With next months update I will post an image of the scape lifted out, it's pretty cool imo.

Live Stock:
Pair of Lightening Clowns.
Fire Shrimp (he is really out going for a change).
Four zoanthid types.
Hippopus Clam.
Duncan.
Recovering Micromussa a free be with a ton of potential.
Hammer Euphyllia.
Stylophora.
Red Dragon.
Hawkins Blue.
Boreallis.
Two unknown Acropora.
SSC.
Green Tip Pink BN.

Just waiting on two or three more sps and I am done.

So how are you liking the Aquamaxx?

Sorry just saw this...

I've stopped using it for now. I found it to be a little inconsistent so not sure I want to use a skimmer at all.

Trying to get to a point where I'm doing several water changes a week like you instead. I do one 3-4 gallon a week change now but think I'd be better off with several.

Well dang that is too bad regarding the aquamaxx, I had heard nothing but good things about them over the years. Glad I did not invest the money.

My water change schedule is probably too cumbersome for most. But I consider it easier than dosing right now and one or two gallons 2 or 3 times a week is really not a big deal. Sps are growing and encrusting really well so hopefully I am on the right track.

Dec 14th to Jan 6th.
