Iphone7 - New Camera, Whats that mean to reefers

Iphone 7 was just announced today with a 12 mp camera. The Iphone 7 Plus has the same 12 mp camera but with a wide angle lens and a second telephoto lens camera that offers more zoom.

What does all this mean for reefers that enjoy taking pictures of their fish and coral?

I am just getting into photography with this hobby and was looking at getting a actual camera with macro lens. But if this new iphone can get the job done then what the heck? Ill just get the phone since i was going to get it anyway. With these new cameras will we be able to produce some stunning photos that are up close and personal?

I asked a few questions but feel free to use this thread as a discussion about this new phone.

IMO nothing will ever come close to a dedicated DSLR with a Macro lens. I have gotten some nice shots with my 6S, but that's just it, nice shots. Nothing wow or crazy. With that said, I bet there are those out there that really know how to squeeze every little bit out of their phones. That's just my 2 pennies.

keep in mind its not an optical zoom. the further you zoom the more the image breaks up.
