My 80g fijicube 3' x 2' x 22" height has been setup around 2 years, I'm having lots of issues with fish disappearing with no trace. Here is the current stock list. Mixed reef objective

- Flame angel 2.25"
- Scopas Tang 3"
- Yellow watchman goby 2"
- Christmas Wrasse 3"
- Springer damsel. 75"

The tank has a negative space aquascape so it's only 1 real rock structure and a small zoa island.

I have added several flasher wrasse and diamond gobies. 1 of each jumped in a crack out the lid and the other two just disappeared.

I just added another exquisite wrasse about 2.5". It got picked on when first added, but I saw the aggression disappear after a day. It was eating and has now disappeared and no evidence of it outside the tank.

Is it possible my angel or tang beat it up during the night? Im just about on the last straw with the reef tank thing. Now I'd be okay with going to aggressive fish but not sure how aggressive they should be

Pics of the tank would help, I can't wrap my head around negative aquascape and only one rock in an 80g.

On the surface this seems quite inadequate for hiding places and swim lanes for several fish.

The scopas is on the large size for an 80g DT, which after scape is probably 65-70g... And the flame angel is territorial, so this combo I think would indicate a larger tank generally - But with good aquacscaping probably still works.

With basically no rock work and fish jumping out despite the lid, I think either aggression or very stressed out fish from being unable to hide.

Here are some pictures of the tank. There are a few holes and nooks in the rocks, I really like that the scape puts my goby front and center

That looks much better than what I was envisioning! It could probably stand one or two more rocks, but its pretty good really.

Next thing to do would be set up your phone to video the tank - and walk away for 20 minutes. Come back and review the footage to see if someone's a bully.
