Is the reef factory app down?

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to BRS.
You’re correct that Reef Factory has gone bankrupt, but BRS and several other companies are covering the costs to keep the app active and functional. At this time, we expect the app and connected devices to remain supported for the foreseeable future, so your existing Reef Factory products should continue to work normally.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a great day.

Firing this thread up again. Can't seem to login for the last 2 days. I've actually been using this for about 3 years now and aside from an occasional issue logging in (which usually resolves shortly) this is the only time it's lasted for days.

I know the company was recently bought (rescued), so maybe they're tweaking stuff? The websites "support" is down so that's not help :(. I'm tempted to delete and reload the App but I'd hate to really mess something up if I do that and they are working on something.

Well, I logged into my desktop app and all was fine. I deleted the phone App and reinstalled it and it was back to working just fine.

I was getting a spinning fish icon when opening the app on my android phone the past week. I can click at the bottom and go to devices and click into my kh Keeper. I also learned it is possible to access the device directly on your home network! In your router, identify the local IP and enter it into a browser. This provide direct, basic access of current readings, history, calibration, etc!

Yeah i think they call that the desktop. Now that it's been dialed (for a year or more ) I can love with these occasional glitches. I actually just bought another one on Ebay for $80 brand new. They are unloading them since ReefFactory was having issues but I saw in Sept they were "rescued". Considering other testers arr $600-900, $80 is a total steal even if they go defunct again in a few years. Hopefully by then the Maven will be out (not holding my breath :)).

Part of the challenge is locating the reagent fluid. I did find a 2.5 l bottle. I believe there's some DIY recipes out there

Simple HCL off amazon :), 0.1M HYDROCHLORIC ACID. Costs $22 for a liter, but then you dilute that with RO/DI water - if I recall correctly it is 1 part acid to 4 parts water. So essentially you get 5 liters for a little more than $20. I found some old threads about a year ago when I couldn't get the Reef factory stuff. I think it is a standard formula for a lot of Alk testers.
