Is there a Trigger for me?

I have 2 tanks in mind, but only one can be put into effect.

I suddenly and randomly became obsessed with Triggerfish. It happened when I was in the un-reputable pet store by my house that sells saltwater fish. I was just browsing that time and I saw a Trigger of some sort. I immediately turned to my mom and said I love Triggerfish. I had never before had any interest in them, but I guess times change. I like the odd shape they mostly hold and how their fins are held extended and in line with one another at the back of the body. The colors are cool too. And when I look at the Naso Tangs online, I like them too. I guess I just like weird shaped fish!

So anyways, one plan was to have a Pink Skunk Clown, a Firefish, and possibly a Wrasse or some other fish live in an eventual reef. Another was to have a Trigger. I have a 55g with a skimmer, 2 power heads, lighting, rock, sand, and whatnot. Is there any possible way to merge these ideas, reef or not?

i wouldn't suggest a trigger in there, most of them get to be about as long as your tank is wide

This is purely just a statement but I have a flagtail trigger and he hasn't grown to much at all in the 4 months I've had him (he's about 2 inches) :D but also if your into weird shaped fish search up the different types of leatherjacket/filefish they are like triggers but don't grow nearly as big

About the smallest trigger, also the most reef safe is the sargassum trigger but a 55 is too small. Even a 90 imo is too small when grown.

As above a filefish is of a similar family and looks cool the way triggers are, again most are not reef safe so research is a must on the particular type.

Two schools of thought, a long term, till death, home for a fish is what your should have in mind, therefore no do not get a trigger on simple google search the avg length they grow is way too intense for that size gallon

Or you can be realistic with your goals and ask yourself, is this a forever tank? Will the fish have sufficient time/conditions to acclimate and be happy for long enough that the stress is worth it to him in terms of health and fish longevity (regardless of which home), and will I be able to catch him and get him out of the tank without creating what equates to armageddon to the tiny ecosystem I have created and stress out all of your inhabitants potentially harming them.

The choice is yours.
