It looks very much like the Aptasia I had in my new tank a month ago.Title speaks for itself.
That means you have good nutrients in your waterDoes it matter that it is the size of a tennis ball?
Have had it for 18 months. It is the only one.It will reproduce and you’ll have a tank full of them.

I have asked about it before. People always think it is aptasia. Which is right, and wrong. I believe it is a type of aptasia, but not the dreaded pest. A relatively newly described species. That's a big boy; why only ask about it now?

Have kept it for 18 months. No others...Aptasia - get it out or prepare for more.
Totally Understand - and that can sometimes be the case, until its not.... Im of the opinion that it is better to take it out than risk it, but others have kept them for years with little ill effect.Have kept it for 18 months. No others...
My thoughts also. Why risk it. If you can’t confirm 110% what it is (although it certainly looks like one I’d remove immediately upon spotting it) why would you risk your entire tank?Totally Understand - and that can sometimes be the case, until its not....
