Hey everyone,

I have recently seen these in my tank. Can anyone please suggest what this is ?

This is a 4 year old tank with 1 tang, 2 clowns and 2 carpet anemones. Nothing has been introduced in it for months. It is regularly cleaned and managed by my aquarium guy who isnt that good with marine tanks only helps cleaning it as i now reside in another country.

Only change has been the temperature of the environment ( summers).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you @paraletho for your reply. They are multiple , on glass . Can you advise if there can be an outbreak of these?
Spaghetti worms (Terebellidae) usually don't reproduce explosively and won't cause trouble.

They just look very creepy but are one of the good guys. You should be able to transfer them carefully to your filter sump or somewhere out of sight if you don't want them where they are right now. Sooner or later they end up in pretty much every tank. Either buried in the substrate or somewhere on a surface catching detritus.

I agree, these look like harmless spaghetti worms, but I don’t know why they aren’t living down in the substrate. You can siphon them out if you want, but they will just reproduce new ones.

These are spaghetti worms which are harmless and eat uneaten food and detritus and rarely seen on glass and may be a sign of overfeeding

Thank you @EnterName . Sorry for confirming it, but we are certain that these are spaghetti worms? Not doubting anyone, but just confirming for my peace of mind.
Sorry I'm late to respond. Yes I'm certain.

They sometimes sit on the glass and catch detritus instead of burying in the substrate. I don't know if they like what's growing on the glass, the flow, or something else.
