That does appear to be Ich. I would recommend setting up a QT and using copper power at 2.0ppm for 30 days or 14 days with transfer to a sterile tank. The therapeutic window starts at 1.5ppm so if he’s sensitive to copper you can lower it a bit. Your DT will need to be fallow for 76 days.

Welcome to R2R!!!!

Thanks for the reply, only had my tank for 10 weeks so don’t have a QT.
Only had the fish for 2 days so is it likely it already had Ich, or can it be brought on due to the stress of moving tanks.
Sorry if these are basic questions, new to the hobby.

The fish likely had ich and stress brought it out. Ich is a parasite and is now in your DT. QT is pretty important these days as the fish distribution system is rife with disease. There are ways you can manage ich and I’m sure someone will chime in who does manage it but I prefer to eradicate it so I keep more difficult fish without issue.
