I don't have tangs. I only have clownfishes, chromis and dottyback.The variable here is the Tang. They're far more prone to ich than almost any other species. It's possible you had killed off the Ich that was in your display, but the new Tang brought some in with him.

In a way yes but would be the best way to test due to them being disease free, but I think they could also harbor a disease and not show signs like other fish. Best thing to do is wait it out, 2-3 more weeks isn't long considering its already been roughly 60 days.Agreed isn't this just giving one life to try and spare another?
