Once the 110 is working properly (it's a swamp right now... Looks like phytoplankton) I'm going to have a harem of females and then 2 or 3 males in Acclimation boxes. For now, I have 3 little ta ks set up so I'm pretty much at my limit.
After scrapping plastic, my tank was a swamp. Had the clean the filter 2x. Still not done. But, letting them calm down after the storm.

I love both freshwater and salt. Id love to see when you get the 110 back in line.

100 mg / .524 = 190.8 mg KCl needed.

To make the solution, dissolve 190.8 g of potassium chloride in 1 L of RO/DI or purified water.

1 mL of this solution will raise potassium by 1 ppm in 100 L
Math is hard
I have 423 liters. I dosed 100ml i need to raise potassium by at least 80

Thats 100 ppm in 100 liters. So i need to do 3 more doses roughly?

Wait.

Home potassium tests can give false negatives. Someone overdosed K because their kit gave a false low reading.

If you change water, you will never need to monitor potassium. Even if you don’t change water, it’s unlikely to ever get to 320 ppm.

My DIY mentioned to only use ICP to determine if potassium is too low.

Once my brats allow me to make a gallon of fresh salt. I'll test that and post a reading and see where it compares to reef crystals.

I don't really do water changes. I have a refuge full of chaetomorphas

For reef crystals, looks like potassium is all over the place

TESTING AT 1.026

reef crystals came out at 380 ppm potassium
retested my tank. I am at 360 or 370 because i got interrupted while counting drops and 2 extra went in at the same time.
but, the last 2 drops. So, with that said. I could probably let things safely be. Or gamble it out and add another 50ml. That might put me a bit over 400

I always seem to have to add potassium. But I don't do water changes so there's that.
I dont really do them either. But if reef crystals reads at 380 or whatever my note says. I should be able to raise my levels to 400 safely. I'll retest monthly.

Did you know people used to toss pennies in their fish tanks before copper dosing for parasites was a thing?

Some photo drops. I believe the acros actually approved of the potassium dosing. The polyps are much out and extended. Or they are going to bail out on me. Also..

This one has feeders out this morning.

Slow grower, I might need to find what kind of flow and light she prefers. She is in heavy flow, 250-275 par right now. That's air bubbles, I had to kick off the power head for a few minutes.

Dark,. but shes got this really cool gold rings at the end of coralites. I might be able to get better pics if she lives long enough. Medium flow, 200-225 par. Shows to be growing well. Nice color. But, polyp color lost. Could be due to lowering par levels and or phosphate increase.
