Jebao wp40 too much for 90 gal?????

I have a 90 gal cube tank thanks going to be a mixed reef. Is the Jebao wp40 too strong for the 90gal or should I go with the wp25

I'd seriously look into getting one of the newer RW series as they have a better/wider flow pattern and better programming options. The RW-15 or maybe two RW-8's would be perfect for your tank, I have two RW-15's on my 125g (60x24x20) and can only run them at speed 5-6 of 8 on W1 (Wave #1) setting.

The WP-40 was too much for my 60" long 100G so I switched to two WP-25's instead. Besides that it was physically big so stuck out like a sore thumb.
No experience with the new RW series but may have to try one soon for comparison. I have no complaints on the WP series though.

that is really surprising grabloids! I have a 65 wide and one 25 and it's too much flow imo.....but I only have one stick :)

That is exactly what I would recommend too. A RW15 should work well if you want a cleaner look with just one pump, should work well but for best flow and back and forth 2 RW8's would be the best option.

I have 4 wp40's in a standard 120 running 80% max and 35% min, using a 2 JBWave devices. The pumps are a bit large, but they are just big enough to get the flow past the 2 bumps on the back of the tank. The sticks that are in the tank currently seem to like the flow. It's currently bare bottom, but I'll probably try to add some course sand sometime soon.

I like the wp pumps on else mode at 50% power. but to do this you need the adjustable power supply (a must have if you ask me)
