Anybody knows what this infection is? I've been looking for nudi's and dipping it but it hasn't helped. my true undata is next to it and it's perfectly fine. I'm just having problems with this one. Any similar experiences?

After 2 unsuccessful dips and a thread, I decided to take a starbucks grande cup and pour 2 capfuls of revive in it and dip for 5 minutes and lo and behold, I find this sob. I heard of this before but I never thought it would happen to me. So I guess the battle begins. I'm tossing my bigger caps and dipping this guy and my true undata every week till this one heals back up. Sounds like a good plan?

I had nudis before and they are a pain.you could try to siphon them off every few days as you see them but honestly
I would just toss all monties away and start over at a later date.I tried the dipping method with little success and found tossing them out the best option.once the monties are gone the nudis have no foot source and will die.I wouldn't add a Montis for at least 6 months so you know all egg clutches hatch and die along with any adult nudis.sorry you have to deal with Monti nudis but alot of people have gotten them and beat them,it just isn't easy.

I had a few monti eating nudi's and unfortunately had to rip out all of my nice little colonies, but I was able to save pieces of each. I took frags and made sure that there were no eggs by scrubbing the bottoms with a soft bristle toothbrush. I also siphoned them out whenever I saw the little buggers. It's been about 4 months since I've seen any and my Jedi Mind trick colony was the only monti they didn't touch. Thank god!!! Because it's also my nicest and largest colony.. Good luck with your treatment and it maybe worth adding a predatory wrasse in there to help eat them.

Nudis is not a big deal if u have time. Rip montis out of the tank and put in frag tank even if it is connected to the main display. Check every night for them buggers and eggs might take 3- 6 months. I did every night or so and crushed them with a tooth pick and jabbed in a crevice in the monti they might hide. Over time you can beat them. i lost alot of my montis by putting them in ustable QT tank that had temp swings so what was left put in 8ft frag tank attached to system. Havent seen them in about a year now the next project AEFW lol

Its odd how they went after jedi mind trick nudis left setosa, rainbow, and most encrusters alone they hit my plating montis esp purple monti cap and a green cap.

HMMMM. It's interesting to hear they didnt mess with all of your undatas and just mine. thanks for sharing guys. The Jedi MInd trick is such a nice coral to toss. I may have to frag it even if it's the size of a booger. Wish I had a qt tank. would free up space as well.
