I am turning a 10 gallon into a frag tank. It's laying around doing nothing. Not even part of the QT process, so I figured let's make it into a frag tank. I know it's not optimal but it's what I have at my disposal.

For lighting, since I have LeDs on my displays, I figure that's what I should use.

I see a bunch of these lights for $100-$110 and wondering if they would suffice to grow out softies, LPS and a few digitata frags, or birdsnest frags.

Plan is to make levels out of light diffuser so the SPS frags would be on the top step closest to the light.

Looking for a 160 but they seem to be about $100 more than the 150

That I would do. Kinda like the 160 more than the 150 because you can dim it and such. But having said that the tank is a grow out tank. $10 timer on/off and certain times.

Does the 160 have the ability to ramp up or is that only in the 300 series?

Problem with Kessil's is that you will need to buy gooseneck, 90 degree adapter, controller all separately and it can add up

I believe 160 are 40w and 360 are 90w, that's pretty much the only difference

I am using an a150 for my 0gal IM and I am getting growth from my softies and a monti cap

It should work fine for you IMO
