Hey everyone, Ive had this kessil a80 tuna blue for a couple years now over a tank i neglected tbh (i had a family member taking care of it for me) and recently I went to look at the light and saw that a third of the paint had flaked off and revealed the metal under the heatsink!

has anyone had this happen before? is it safe to repaint/keep this over the tank if it keeps flaking?

Yikes! I wouldnt keep it over the tank. Ypu could probably take the housing apart and sand down repaint it.

I just took down my canopy and realized mine is doing same thing. No telling how much has already fallen into the tank.
