I'll take some updated ones today when I get home!
Okay because I been looking on for result and inspiration for my tank and can’t find any. Because most people that have a nice tank they either run hydra or radion or t5 hybrid

I have 2ap700 over my 120 and within the last 6 months added the aquatic life t5 fixture and added layout front to back is like this: blue plus coral plus led purple plus and blue plus. I actually really like the color not super blue but more crisp white with hint of blue. I run the kessils at 3 rd blue from the bottom and I’m sitting at 59% and fixtures sits at 12”now. I had it lower and led intensity lower but couldn’t get in and out of the take very well. With my apogee mq 510 par is sitting at mid to high 300 at top and about 200 on sandbed. I really love the kessils but even with two I had shading so that’s why I added the t5. I have basically 99% sps and I mean acropora dominant not just poci/monti pieces. Colors on sps is great. Just working on coloring up some mariculture pieces I’ve had forever.

To confirm, you have 2 ap700 and 4 t5 bulbs and are running the ap700 at 59%. I’ve got the same setup on a similar sized tank and I’m running my ap700 at 25%. It’s nice to know I have room to go to push the par a bit more.

How many hours are your t5 on? How many hours do you have peak lighting with your kessils? Thanks!

My ap700 is 11” above the water and runs this program. I also have 4 t5 bulbs on for middle 4.5 hours.
Par looks like this. The first number is the LED only and second number is LED+T5

I have 2 ap700 over a oceanic old school 120 48”x24”x24” plus 4 t5. The t5 run for 9 total hours. Kessils ramp up/down for 1 hour each and on high intensity for 7 hours total.

The constant intensity changes are what kills with led. It is so hard not to change the sliders around which I think is the biggest issue with led. If your corals are doing well where you have it then I wouldn’t change too much and if you want to change I would only raise intensity by about 1% every day if that better to be safe and raise slowly than too fast. Trust me I’ve done it a few times!

Mine is set almost exactly like @miPapareef except my intensity is 90 percent and close to all blue. I also have 6 other a360 lights that are on for 5 of the peak hours along with the ap700. This is over a 4 foot x 3ft tank and the par in the middle of the tank a few inches down is high 300 low 400. My lights are in a Canopy and about 6or8 inches up.

I like how you angled the 360’s. I was going to do this but decided t5 would be cheaper option for now haha.

This is the tank prior to adding t5. If I remember right the ap700 were at mid 90’s intensity by themselves and about 10”, I think.

What light setting you have this on I really like the color

I’ve got 2 coral+ bulbs and 2 blue+ bulbs, and my ap700s are usually at the 3rd bluest setting during peak. As I ramp up and down I use the bluest to second bluest setting.

Whoa... You don't mess around....

Got Kessils?
Ha ha. I spent my first 5 years back in the hobby messing around with different led and t5 and ended up getting a used kessil on my frag tank. Got growth just as well as everything else, much better color, and it's actually easier to get decent pictures under without messing around with too many settings. I've had much more expensive lighting and much cheaper. kessil seems middle of the road in price and I like it better than everything else for those reasons. The smaller size of the lights is also a big pro for working in the tanks. And it's popular enough you can always find a used one to expand or replace.

Tip burn on portions facing my ap700s only are getting frustrating. 3rd wave of acros this is happening too, usually takes 2 wks to show signs.

Low placement. Lights are 12 inches from water, frags are 18 inches from surface, so 30 inches away. Look at how mild my kessil programming is.

So annoying.

Got corraline booming everywhere. Other than doing an ICP test, the lighting is the only thing I can think of.

Alk = 7.3-7.5
Po4 = .03-.07

Tank is on month 15. Dont know what else to do.
