So I've been feeding my smaller eels Rod's foods for the past few years, however it is expensive as hell. I go through one pack of predator blend in just two weeks just for my eels alone (I have a lot more predator fish). It's not really worth it anymore. My Snowflakes (2 eels) and Golden Dwarfs (2 eels) just gobble through them too fast and my Hawaiian Dragon is way too big too eat these (obviously and yes I complain about cost even though I bought expensive butt eels), he could eat the whole pack per feeding. It's just not worth dropping money just for 2 weeks (what's worse is that I only feed 3-4 times a week). I will still feed my other fish Rod's food as they don't eat as much as the eels, but I have recently bought Pro Salt IQF Krill. It is super cheap at my lfs compared to a 20 dollar small butt pack. However, is it ok for my eels to only eat frozen krill? I do have Seachem Vitality, but I'm not sure if that's good enough since I like to feed a varied diet. I have to support myself too, so would Vitality dosed krill be ok?

Dosing vitality won't hurt and krill can be a major staple but you will want to vary their diet for longevity and health.

I get a variety of frozen seafood from an asian market including squid, octopus, shrimp, smelt(silversides), krill(which actually looks like real raw small shrimp not pink and a much better texture), silverfish, and others. For $20-25 it will literally keep you in predator food for months. My eel almost comes out of the water when I feed octopus and squid. I enhance with brightwell vitamin m and aminomega.

i feed krill, silversides, squid, when your eels are big enough, shrimp from your grocery store works great, there are many sizes, 70-100 per bag, up to 20-30 per bag when you have large eels. its a great cost saver, and its regulated through the fda, so you know it is safe

Krill can be part of the diet, but variety should be included.

The seafood department is great way add variety for not a lot of money.
